New prize pool record at GGMasters

On the morning of April 27, the 17th Sunday GGMasters event in the room ended GGPokerOk... His results were the most impressive - for the first time a new prize money record was broken - $500 000... The tournament was held without an overlay for only the third time since the beginning of the year.

In the period from January 5 to March 29 of this year, the guarantee fund for GGMasters, despite overlays, doubled and reached a large size of $ 500,000.

For all the events held, the total size of overlays was $ 464,448. Moreover, half of this amount ($209 154) was spent on holding four tournaments with a guarantee of $500,000. The amount of the surcharge decreased every week.

Until yesterday, the warranty was overridden twice out of 16 times: March 15 and 22. This happened the third time last night.

GGMasters started on April 26, collected 3662 players and accumulated a total size of the guarantee fund - $ 505,356.

Finalists

The final was simultaneously three participants from the post-Soviet countries:

• Seventh place went to a poker journalist Jason BingoMaster Glatzer from Lithuania;
• The fourth was taken by a player from Russia under the nickname "aaaanasty";
• The honorable first place was taken by the participant Vladiator13, who, like Jason, was in Lithuania during the game. Thanks to the large amount of prize money, he was able to immediately take the second place in the annual leaderboard of GGMasters. In this competition, he won $ 72,300.

When to expect the new GGMasters

After the tournament ended, the new GGMasters did not appear in the lobby, as it happened before. Most likely it will appear tonight, after the next monthly software update.

Until the event prize pool approached the guarantee, it was automatically increased. It is not known whether it will be so next time, and whether the warranty on GGMasters will reach 600,000. You need to wait for the update to complete.
